Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process involved in pushing a website to the top of the natural (organic) rankings of a search engine. Often referred to as the unpaid results section of the page. E.g. having your web-page ranking in the top 10 results on the 1st page of Google. Excluding the paid CPC (cost per click) ads at the top/bottom/ right-hand side (dependent on where they display). Would be classed as organic or natural search listings. SEO is mainly the manipulation aspects of a website using a variety of processes to improve it’s rankings online naturally.
