Here at Primal Space HQ, we are incredibly proud to have been recently awarded the Cyber Essentials accreditation! You’ll see these badge in the footer area of every page of our website now. The certification shows our continual desire to ensure our systems, processes and devices are all as secure as they possibly can be. It’s important for us to demonstrate to our clients the ethos that should be continually given to an organisations overall security. Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme, to help organisations protect themselves from common online threats.

The Cyber Essentials accreditation is an award that tests the required security controls are in place. The process tests our systems and security software to ensure they have been correctly configured to be at the highest possible security standards.
Why is Security Important?
It is our company belief that you cannot take security too seriously. It is something that needs to constantly be re-assessed within the organisation. Both online, and offline. Particularly when you are handling the data of others. A breach of data or loss of personal information, could be incredibly costly! Performing actions such as regularly resetting passwords, ensuring data stored is encrypted and deleting data no longer required, are just some of the basic concepts to consider. What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials was launched in 2014. It is a UK government information assurance scheme, operated by the National Cyber Security Centre. The organisation encourages businesses to adopt good practice in relation to everything concerned with information security and data. It encourages good business practice in relation to cyber security. Primal Space are proud to be listed on the directory of organisations awarded Cyber Essentials. Does my business need to be Cyber Essentials Accredited?
While a Cyber Essentials accreditation is not a legal requirement for an organisation. It is certainly advisable to have for the majority of businesses. Particularly those with large offices. Or a company with a high number of staff with access to lots of devices. Any organisation that handles data really should be looking at thinking about the Cyber Essentials accreditation.
